Designgymnasiet in Malmö was established in 2021 and offers vocational and university-preparatory education within the Arts and Crafts Programme, the Technology Programme, and the Design and Sewing Technical Education with the following specializations: Interior Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Textile Design, Product Design, and Architecture and Design. By autumn, the school has approximately 230 students and 19 employees. We are now looking for an additional teacher for our operations.

Your Assignment

In autumn 2025, we launched the Design and Sewing Technical Education for the first time and will continue to admit another year group of students in autumn 2026. We are therefore seeking a driven teacher in textiles and art who wants to help build the program from the ground up. During the next academic year, teaching will be at 60%, but this will increase the following year as we continue to expand the program. Your role includes teaching, mentoring, student support, and some school-wide responsibilities. As a relatively new school, it is important that you are curious and interested in developing various processes and working methods together with your colleagues.

Your Profile

We expect you to be a certified teacher in textiles, sewing, and several art subjects. You want to be part of creating a safe atmosphere for our students and also contribute to planning work-based learning (APL) for our newly launched Textile Design program. As a person, you are creative, structured, and engaged, and you take responsibility for ensuring that students reach their goals.

Other Information

The position is a 60% permanent employment with an initial probation period of 6 months (unless you meet the requirements of the Education Act regarding qualifications). Start date: August 2026.
